The Tassis family have been running successful award winning restaurants for over 30 years from the Southern States and NSW to multiple locations throughout Queensland. By always keeping the restaurants under the family umbrella, Michael Tassis has been introduced to the hospitality industry from a young age allowing him to become a successful restauranteur in Brisbane.

Michael’s next venture, Massimo Restaurant & Bar, is a contemporary new concept aiming to impress in a true Italian style. Massimo Restaurant & Bar’s Head Chef Davide is from the Abruzzo region on the east coast of Italy. Davide’s passion and dedication to the culinary arts are the bench mark of the Massimo kitchen. Offering spectacular Italian cuisine matched only by exquisite service and beautiful river views.

Massimo presents a welcoming and luxurious dining experience. Each day we receive a delivery of the freshest, locally grown produce along with free range eggs and meats. Our famous Massimo pasta is then created by our chefs in-house, the dough is made and rolled by hand before being sliced into strands. We then source genuine Italian ingredients to produce beautiful, Italian cuisine.

Step into Massimo. A warm, welcoming restaurant in a modern and stylish space – brass copper finishes and exposed brick provide an elegant but traditional feeling. Nestled on Eagle Street, we have spectacular views, featuring Brisbane’s Story Bridge which shows off a spectacular view during the night.
